class list blogs

Okay I don't think I am ahead of anyone but I can't find any current blogs for the class, just blogs from last class. So frustrating since I have no idea what I am doing!
No, I have never read a blog before. I can see where it would be nice to share ideas with other teachers who teach the same content area and to see what they are doing and share what I do. I don't think teachers should have to recreate the wheel I think we should spend our time with the students not preparing lessons that may already be out there. I can see a lot of possiblitlities if I learn how to do it correctly.
Look forward to sharing.

  1. I stumbled on the blog urls after logging in on the ISD page. But, sometimes they are there & sometimes they are not. Lately, the link has not been there.

  3. I hesitated posting because I don't want to sound like a 'know it all' when I definitely DO NOT know much about blogging. But, maybe I can help you. On the class main page, under blogging, click on 'Links to Class Participant Blogs'. This will open the list of students who have given their blog addresses to JimD.

    Click on my blog for example, Sue Foshag: http://remotelyconnected.blogspot.com/

    Once the blog opens in a new window, look for an area on the blog that says 'Follow' or 'Follow this blog'. Click it and follow the directions. Now, here's the part I don't know much about, IF the person is not using blogger...I don't know if the link will be there. Try it.

    Now, when you open your blog, sign in and go to dashboard. All the new blog posts will be there for the blogs you are following.

    I hope this helped.
